The World Orphan Fund provides vital support to organizations that are making a profound difference in the lives of orphaned children. Your contribution goes directly to providing food, shelter, medical assistance, education and a loving environment.
A SAFE HOME
The World Orphan Fund works directly with orphanages to build housing, clinics and classrooms. From a toddler house at Orphanage Emmanuel to a special needs house at Rancho Santa Fe for children with severe physical and cognitive disabilities, the World Orphan Fund provides resources to build the infrastructure needed to care for orphaned children.
A QUALITY EDUCATION
After a safe and loving home, nothing is more important to their future than a quality education. The World Orphan Fund provides grants and scholarships for college, technical schools and jobs skills training to get orphans on the road to self-sufficiency. A scholarship fund has also been established to assist orphans attending colleges and universities in the United States.
FEEDING HUNGRY KIDS
The terrible reality is that there are children at some orphanages around the world who don’t have enough to eat. In partnership with the World Orphan Fund, you can be a part of the solution. The World Orphan Fund gives financial assistance to orphanages and through organizations like Feed the Nations to provide a nutritious and balanced diet to orphaned children.
CLEAN DRINKING WATER
It is impossible to overstate the importance of clean water to protect the health of the children in third world countries. The World Orphan Fund provides funding for digging wells and treating water.
MEDICAL CARE
The vast majority of orphans live in institutions unable to provide for special medical needs of the children under their care. The World Orphan Fund helps orphans overcome physical challenges through surgeries and other procedures. From clubbed feet to heart surgery, the World Orphan Fund works with health care providers to give orphans access to life changing medical care. Medical grants may also provide urgently needed medications and medical equipment.
