Well Repair – El Refugio Orphanage
El Refugio Orphanage in Naco, Honduras had been relying on runoff water from the nearby mountain and purchasing bottled water for the children and had been spending $200 of their $1,100 monthly budget for bottled water. The property had a well, but it wasn’t functional.
So The World Orphan Fund provided a grant to repair the well and replace a holding cistern. By creating a free source of fresh water, a $200 monthly expense has been reallocated to food and other essential items at the orphanage.
