An Unforgettable Day

Yesterday, 26 of our donors and supporters visited the newly renovated Walker Center for Childhood Development—and were absolutely amazed by the transformation.

They saw:

💧 A physical therapy room with hydrotherapy, helping children regain strength and confidence.

🧩 A sensory integration room designed to calm and organize overwhelmed minds.

🎓 A training and retreat space where caregivers from across Guatemala and Latin America will come to learn and grow.

☀️ And bright, spacious therapy rooms filled with natural light—because every child deserves a space that reflects the future we see for them.

In the morning, guests watched speech, occupational, and physical therapies in action. In the afternoon, they visited Casa Emmanuel, where many of our children live. But the highlight? Playtime.

Former Governor Scott Walker jumped into a soccer game, and supporter Thorsten Wienss (pictured) became a “human jungle gym.” 

Laughter filled the air as children felt seen, loved, and celebrated—reminding us all why we do what we do. 💙

Since 2017, the Walker Center has provided more than 30,000 therapies, helped 378 children experience healing, and delivered nutritional support to over 2,000 children overcoming malnutrition.
